Gravitic Imploder Lances are the primary ship mounted weapons in use today. Hand-held forms are not available and considerable research is ongoing in this field.

The Imploder Lances work by firing a gravitic energy beam at their target. The target implodes with the force of the beam, although to observes it seems as thought the target explodes. This effect is generated by an interaction of five-space and three-space forces, termed a "five-space/three-space interface phenomenon".

One of the most powerful gravitic imploder lances available today is mounted on the Barrayan flagship the Prince Serg.

The principle of the weapon is distantly related to that of generating artificial gravity.
