Breath-masks are small plastic masks that cover both mouth and nose and are used in environments with toxic atmospheres but which approach normal atmospheric pressure. They come attached to a small oxygen supply which is sufficient for a number of hours of normal use.

A place where breath-masks are essential is Komarr, where the atmosphere does not contain enough oxygen to sustain human life.
